This study by Bonvini and coworkersd describes in vitro data supporting a role for the CDK inhibitor flavopiridol in the treatment of anaplastic large cell lymphoma. Moreover, their studies establish a link between ALK over-expression and flavopiridol, as inhibition of ALK activity sensitizes the cells to flavopiridol-induced cell death.
